Have you lost your teeth and are dealing with bone loss? Pterygoid implants in Albania are the perfect solution for you. This procedure eliminates the need for bone grafting and restores your smile in a short time.
Let’s find out the benefits of this procedure and why Virtus Dental Center is the best clinic for pterygoid implants.
Cosa Sono Gli Impianti Pterigoidei?
Pterygoid implants are an advanced implantology technique designed especially for patients with severe bone loss on the upper jaw. Different from traditional implants that are placed on the jawbone, pterygoid implants are fixed in the pterygoid bone, a stable area at the back of the upper jaw that does not undergo resorption.
Main Characteristics:
- Considerable length: 15-25 mm (much longer than traditional implants)
- Triple implementation: Uses three types of bones (maxillary tuberosity, pyramidal process of the palatine bone, pterygoid process of the sphenoid bone)
- Angled placement: Implants are placed at a strategic angle for maximum stability
- No need for bone grafting: Eliminates additional procedures and healing time
